Talent&Culture Manager


Exiger is going through a very exciting period of growth and is now opening a brand new company location in Bucharest, Romania.  We are very pleased to be recruiting an experienced Talent & Culture professional to support this new venture. This position will report to the International Talent & Culture Lead (based in London).
 
The ideal Talent & Culture professional who joins our Bucharest team will provide full employee-life cycle support to our colleagues in the growing Bucharest office  This position will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition, payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, employee onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with Romanian and European employment law. Exiger is seeking a highly motivated professional who is eager to bring their experience to our Bucharest office, and who is excited to work in a fast-paced, growing multi-national organization.
 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
 
  • Working collaboratively with International Talent and Culture Lead to provide a full employee life cycle on-the-ground support and guidance to our Bucharest office and professionals.
  • Lead Talent Acquisition and recruitment activities for the Bucharest team including posting open positions, conducting phone screens, scheduling in-person interviews, and providing feedback on candidates.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition colleagues, Business Unit leadership, and local hiring managers to develop a comprehensive understanding of open roles and talent needs of the team.
  • Provide or develop knowledge of the Bucharest talent market and cultivate relationships with local Universities and organizations that can expand the existing talent pool.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation, On-boarding  and Induction in order to  welcome new joiners to the team.
  • Support execution of performance management and appraisal activities, including Mid- and End-of-Year review cycles
  • Implement company policies and procedures accurately and effectively with an understanding of local needs and adaptations
  • Support Exiger by ensuring complete compliance with Romanian and European Employment law in all aspects of hiring, employment, and separation.
  • Support Exiger and  Appointed Legal Advisors in Employment Tribunals and Courts
  • Manage legislatively-required programs such as Health and Safety, Accessibility, and others.
  • Providing Exiger guidance and support on collective work-force agreements and processes  
  • Assist with employee relations issues, including receiving employee questions and concerns, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Provide Payroll and Benefit support.
  • Help leaders and managers to engage and motivate our professionals
  • Provide support to the Talent & Culture team on additional projects as needed.
  • Act as a Talent and Culture champion on the ground in Bucharest on behalf of Exiger.

 
 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
 
 
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and ability to ensure full compliance.
  • Experience navigating employee relations issues and of Employment courts or Tribunals and collective workplace/workforce agreements
  • Experience with high-volume recruitment activities.
  • Ability to understand and interpret payroll entries to support employee inquiries and the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to Learn or Experience with  Lever (Applicant Tracking System), Dayforce Ceridian (Payroll System), and ADP Workforce Now (Human Resources Information System).
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, problem-solving in nature.
  • Proven ability to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and make a contribution quickly.
  • Comfortable with using data to inform decision-making.
  • A high degree of customer focus, business acumen, and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills.
  • A self-starter, with strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and an impactful presentation style.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable being part of a remote team and working with a manager based in a different geography. 
  • High degree of Professional Fluency in Romanian and English

 
 
 
 
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
 
 
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree desirable.
  • A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a Human Resources role of progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Preference will be placed on canddiates with experience from a financial, compliance, research, technology or professional services industry.
  • Ability to travel occasionally based on business needs.
  • Fluent in English and Romanian, written and oral communication required
